Home of the Embodiment Tradition

Lissa Friedman, PhD set the roots of our school when she began teaching the Enneagram over 2 decades ago. Prior to developing the Embodiment Tradition, Lissa studied intensely with many Enneagram masters including Oscar Ichazo and the Arica School. In 2013, Lissa partnered with her daughter, Tammy Hendrix, LCSW, to found the Enneagram School of Asheville.

Lissa began studying the Enneagram in 1988 with the Arica School founded by Oscar Ichazo. In the 1990s, she left the Arica School to study with other teachers and experientially through her private practice work with clients.

In 2001, Lissa developed a 3-part Enneagram series and spent a decade teaching. She has published 5 articles in the Enneagram Monthly, presented at 4 International Enneagram Conferences, and published a DVD series of interviews with people of each type. In 2013, she co-founded the Enneagram Collective of Asheville.

Tammy Hendrix, LCSW

Tammy met the Enneagram in 2002 and spent a decade reading the masters, attending International Conferences, and absorbing Lissa's panel teachings. In 2013, she co-founded the Enneagram Collective of Asheville and has graduated 3 year-long cohorts in the Embodiment Tradition.

Tammy loves exploring esoteric Enneagram realms and discovering ways to integrate other traditions. She offers PsychoSpiritual programs including an intensive immersion program - Awakening the Sacred Qualities of the Enneagram Within.

Aric Rohner

Aric was first exposed to the Enneagram around 2010.  Six years later he found the Embodiment Tradition and fell in love with it.  He's particularly fascinated by the way embodiment naturally raises self awareness and eases personal and business relationships.   He and Lissa are currently having lots of fun collaborating on a book.

Aric has been providing coaching for individuals and small businesses since 2014.
